"How do you do that?"
I've been asked this question several times, and actually the process is quite easy for you to get your own custom portrait.
You send me a photograph. It can be scanned and e-mailed to me, or you can send me the photo, and I will scan it and return it with the completed wooden portrait. I would prefer to have at least a 3x5 or 5x7 photo, with as little back ground stuff (IE:trees, cars, friends etc) as possible. Please if at all possible, no checkered shirts and hopefully not wearing glasses. I will however work with what you are able to give me.
A pattern is made of the photograph.
I then cut out your portrait from Baltic Birch Plywood, sized approximately 8"x10" so that your custom portrait will fit most frames available to you locally. I can create a custom frame (if ordered).
Baltic Birch plywood is a high grade plywood with mutiple layers of wood to avoid any voids (empty spaces) along the cut out areas.
Now see, isn't that easy?

Please be aware if you are in a hurry I'm not your fellah. This process may take up to 2-3 weeks to complete.
I refuse to cut corners to do a rush job. I create each item I make in the order payment is received. Not from the time you first approach me. That is only fair to my other customers.
I take great pride in my craftsmanship and a lot of time, thought and effort goes into creating your custom portrait!
